Content Creator
A creator who turns social issues into fact-checked content
You'll find timely topics across AI, technology, society, the economy, and global affairs, then research and fact-check them into card news, articles, and short-form video. The verification work behind each piece accumulates as FactBlock data that becomes part of Factagora's knowledge assets. This is a remote contract role where you work as a 'reporter' for Factagora.
Who We're Looking For
- You care about social issues and bring a critical perspective to them
- You can produce short-form video or social media content
- You can manage your own schedule and workload in a remote environment
What You'll Do
- Finding timely content topics across AI, technology, society, the economy, and global affairs
- Building the core argument and story structure of each piece on top of research and fact-checking
- Planning and producing card news, articles, and short-form (Shorts) content
- Reporting on current and contested issues and verifying the facts before turning them into content
- Creating and organizing FactBlocks and knowledge data tied to your content
- Planning and producing viral short-form video
- Turning the output of your content work into accumulated FactBlock data (working as a Factagora 'reporter')
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience running your own or a company's content channels on YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, or a blog
- A track record of concrete results on those channels, such as views, followers, or conversions
- Experience as a journalist or aspiring journalist, a journalism-related major, or other media experience
- Experience planning or producing content on current affairs, tech, or AI
- Ability to communicate and create content comfortably in English
- Experience running global social channels or producing marketing content for overseas audiences
- We value editorial judgment and a feel for what captures attention more than production skills
Performance Review and Rewards
- We review performance regularly against the minimum scope and performance standards agreed on when the contract is signed.
- If the minimum standards are not met, the contract may be ended after feedback and a discussion about improvement.
- Additional performance rewards may be provided for strong results on key KPIs such as content virality and traffic or install conversions.
