Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Factagora (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Use of the Service

• You must comply with applicable laws and regulations.
• You may not misuse, reverse engineer, or disrupt the Service.
• You are responsible for your account credentials and activity.

Your Account

Eligibility

An account is required to use the Service. You must be at least 14 years old.

Your responsibility for the account

You are responsible for keeping your credentials and API access tokens secure. If a token is exposed, revoke it and issue a new one immediately; usage and charges incurred through that token before revocation are your responsibility.

Suspension and termination

If you breach these Terms or misuse the Service, we may suspend or terminate your account after notice. In urgent cases we may act first and notify you afterwards.

Fees and Payment

Plans

The Service is offered on free and paid plans. Prices and what each plan includes are published on the pricing page.

Payment

Paid plans are billed in advance and renew automatically on a monthly or annual cycle, charged to your registered payment method. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store card details.

Credits

Paid plans include a monthly credit allowance. Credits are consumed by API calls and do not roll over — at each monthly renewal the balance is reset to the plan's allowance. For annual plans, credits are likewise reset every month.

Price changes

We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice before the effective date. New prices apply from the first renewal after the notice.

Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel at any time. You retain access until the end of the period already paid for, and fees for that period are not refunded.

Prohibited Use

• Circumventing usage limits by automated means, or placing an unreasonable load on the Service
• Selling, transferring, or sharing your access tokens with third parties
• Using output obtained from the Service to build a service that substantially competes with ours
• Submitting content that breaks the law or infringes the rights of others
• Probing for vulnerabilities or attempting to bypass security measures

Content and Intellectual Property

You retain rights to content you submit. You grant Factagora a limited license to host and process that content solely to operate and improve the Service. Factagora and its licensors retain all rights to the Service, including software and branding.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". Factagora does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Fact-checking outputs and verifications are informational and may not be complete or accurate in all cases.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Factagora will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the Service.

Nature of Verification Results

Fact-check verdicts, credibility scores, and supporting evidence provided by the Service are reference information only. They are not a final determination of truth, nor professional advice of a legal, medical, financial, or other nature.

Results are derived from publicly available sources as of the time of collection and may be inaccurate because of errors, omissions, or timing differences in those sources. You are responsible for independently verifying results before relying on them for any consequential decision.

Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. In the event of a dispute, the parties will first seek to resolve it in good faith; failing that, either party may bring proceedings before the court having jurisdiction under the Korean Civil Procedure Act.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page and update the "Last Updated" date.
